I was born off the coast of California after my pregnant mother was tossed off her yacht by Filipino pirates. Though she did not survive, I was nursed and raised by a raft of sea otters. Rediscovered when I was 14 by a fishing boat, I returned to society and got a degree in marine biology. I moved to Louisiana, and am employed in coastal restoration work.
