420 Sometimes i find it so funny that we live in a society where cannabis is illegal yet alcohol is perfectly legal. cannabis is the safest drug out there. you cant overdose on cannabis, in is not physically addictive. it doesn’t change your personality to any extent like alcohol does. it relaxes you and lowers aggression. yes there are some studies correlating cannabis use to mental problems but they have been shown to not be valid from a scientific point of view.even just look at Holland. cannabis is legal there and therefore more widely tried by people and yet Holland doesn’t have any more mentally ill patients compared to other countries. which leads a person to suppose that cannabis doesn’t make anyone psychotic who wasn’t going to turn psychotic anyway. some of the most recent studies on THC ( the main active ingredient in cannabis) shows that it has significant anticancer properties, is one of the best anti oxidants out there, facilitates neurogenisis ( birth of new brain cells) and prevents neural degradation and therefor can be a great help in preventing diseases like Alzheimers , Parkinsons and ms. it has also been proved to be just as effective in treating some cases of extreme psychosis as the leading drugs out there but with none of the extreme side affects other drugs have.
and then we have alcohol which is legal. alcohol is addictive, it is possible to overdose on and die, it is widely available and even young kids find it easy to get. it lowers inhibitions and is the cause of many teen pregnancy’s . it greatly lowers judgment and is the cause of many car accidents, it greatly changes someones personality and very often makes them loud and aggressive and is therefor the cause of many fights. in most cases of spousal or family abuse alcohol is involved. just go to a police holding cell on Friday night and you will find 80% of the people arrested that day where drunk when arrested. and it is also severely damaging to your body. i saw a documentary the other day about the greatly increasing number of young Britons, people not much more than 20, who are already suffering liver failure due to alcohol.
