It is possible to upgrade the towers; additionally it IS possible to win levels - although I'm currently stuck on the 8th level (it's called "Dome of the Magi" and I believe it to be the final one).
It is also possible to sell towers.

Its impossible to win even the first level, the enemies are endless and you cant upgrade the towers or build new ones.
Hi Damiennightwind, we hope this wasn't an issue with the game, you should be able to upgrade towers and unlock new nodes as your units progress. Please feel free to submit a bug report if things seem broken, we'll try to get it fixed ASAP!
