Beschreibung
KONTAKT / FOLGE MIR. Entwickler-Updates
GAME UPDATES
We are 3 days into the release of Butter Chronicles and there’s been feedback on several bugs! In this update, I’ve squashed a large majority of them (please let me know if there are any more) and added in some new features as well! Hope you’ll enjoy!
New Features
- Added a mute button.
- Added a description panel to display item descriptions on Hover.
- Added a hint to all undiscovered items for some slight assistance.
- Items can now be clicked instead of dragged and dropped for greater convenience.
- A small phrase “This is a final item.” is added to final items to prevent the player from using it in a combination and wasting time.
Bugs Squashed
- Buttons can be dragged to the item slots causing game to be unplayable.
- Slots are not resetting when Butter Me Up! is pressed.
- Fixed a bug where discoveries were found when items were found again.
- Fixed a bug where the player can find the same found item again.
- Fixed a bug where progress was not saved when navigating to different game scenes.

A few comments:
1) It really needs a mute button.
2) On clicking home, then Continue, all progress is lost. Given that this is a drudge of a game - to lose the progress is rather disheartening.
3) Have a hint button to at least speed things up a little. Trying each item one by one to find an illogical result is frustrating and boring.
4) This game genre has been done before, and I don't see that this one brings anything new.
To finish on something positive:
5) The jokes were as corny as promised, but a nice touch.
Thanks for playing my small game! The comments you've made all make perfect sense and I agree with them! I'll consider fixing them in future development of the game. As I'm still pretty new to game development, I hope to improve progressively with the games I make. Cheers! Edit: Just updated the game taking your feedback into consideration! If you would like, please try again!

I think those "god" games kind of played this out. Too many of the combos feel like pure guesswork rather than cleverly hiding (once you discover them) obvious clues. It's just a random clicking fest; a children's game of hide and seek. Good luck with the game, but it's all just a too tedious for me to bother.
Thanks for trying out the game! Cheers!

I would also increase the size of the clickable area for objects.
Definitely. Cheers!

When combining, you should be able to click anywhere on the screen to continue, not just the button. Letting the enter key work for both that and the combine button would also be good, or just right click for combine/OK/continue would be great if that's a thing you can implement.
Thanks for playing my game! I like the idea of click anywhere to continue, might actually do that. Cheers!

Finally got to the end! The last challenge didn't seem to have any logic behind it, or maybe I just didn't notice one? The sliding butter background got really irritating in the end - maybe add an option to stop it?
Thanks for re-playing the game! I'll put in the option to stop the background & mute music / sfx & perhaps slightly more hints in the next build! Cheers!
