Erlebe das Leben auf der Straße. Finde Dosen, bettle und plündere Telefonzellen nach Kleingeld. Ich habe nicht viel mit Flash gearbeitet und hätte nicht gedacht, dass das Spiel so weit kommt – sorry für den fehlenden Ladebildschirm. Beim nächsten Mal plane ich besser.
Spielanleitung
Pfeiltasten zum Bewegen. Leertaste für Aktionen. – Aktionen: Gehe zu einer Person und drücke Leertaste zum Betteln. Stelle dich in das rote Quadrat vor einem Gebäude und drücke Leertaste, um etwas zu kaufen. Stelle dich in das rote Quadrat vor einer Telefonzelle und drücke Leertaste, um nach Münzen zu suchen. Stelle dich auf eine weggeworfene Dose und drücke Leertaste, um sie für 5 Cent einzulösen. – Der Kauf eines Kaffeebechers oder eines Pappschilds erhöht die Chancen und die Menge an Geld beim Betteln. – Training im Fitnessstudio erhöht deine Geschwindigkeit und Stärke. – Essen am Hotdog-Stand, Fast-Food-Restaurant oder beim Kirchenessen gibt dir mehr Energie, die mit der Zeit abnimmt.

When I first made this game I was inexperienced with flash enviroment. As I learn, I will try to fix up problems in my games.

-sped the game up a bit
-got rid of annoying key lag
-put on preloader – but it doesn’t work as well as I would like, I will update when I get it right.

I actually the slowness and the monotony adds to the realism of the game. It's especially boring and frustrating when you're really slow from extreme hunger - very appropriate - and then you can't get to the church on time to get the free food - pathos! Then there's the daily grind of going round and round the subway station checking the phone boxes and living on bits of old chewing gum. You can feel the tragedy and frustration of being trapped in this kind of life.
It's got a great amount of atmosphere for such a basic game. Make sure not to lose that if you pimp the game up.

love the game but after a while when i went to the phone boxes i pressed space and no writing came up and i didnt get anything sometimes you are unsuccessful but this was diffrent.

Definatly make a "The Bum 2". I thought it was given the name because he was a bum. Doesnt mean all homeless people are. Maybe he thinks of himself as a bum. Anyway needs more area and more to do. I liked the church giving food and there is a lot more you could do. Perhaps ending in getting a job or meeting a friend who takes you in. 4/5 for potential
