Got to the 'remember me?' level and couldn't make the 2nd jump, it's not that 'epic' or 'fantastical' to keep me entertained enough after the 6th try to jump it, (realising it's probably impossible anyway) So, I stopped playing...

Leaps of faith are poor level design. This game has wayyyyyyyyyyy too many of them. You should remove some of those, and add more challenging platform elements (moving platforms, obstacles other than spikes, etc.) Less precision jumping makes for a more fun game too.
Also, "The Fall" is an incredibly bad level -- a level where you literally just have to keep hammering it and there's no way to succeed through skill is a total cop-out.
