It’s a commonly known fact that the Serbs aren’t fond of Muslims. On an individual level, my husband had been advised by his own Serb uncle a Muslim man shouldn’t be allowed to marry a Christian woman. Naturally, he was devastated and did not return to our place for two months. Even then, he was ready to undergo marriage with a Christian woman only if there was no immediate threat to his own life.
