How to Play
To start, press any key. Arrow/WASD keys to move, Ctrl to shoot, space to jump, mouse click to unbind the cursor, Esc to pause. Hold Tab to check monster killed/left and time taken. You can press the numbers 1-8 to switch weapons if you have picked them up. If you die, press any key to continue.
On the menu, use arrow keys to move the cursor and Enter to select an option. You can change the controls in the options menu. Have fun!

really needs to keep the mouse in the flash window if that's possible. I keep not being able to turn right anymore 'cos the cursor has hit the right side of the screen...

For those who don't remember the olden days: press ~ and then type
god - Enables God Mode (invincibility)
fly - Enables Fly Mode
kill - Instant death
give S# - Gain # shells
give H# - Gain # health
give N# - Gain # nails
give R# - Gain # rockets
give C# - Gain # cells
give # - Get weapon #
noclip - Walk through walls. Repeat to turn off.
notarget - Monsters won't attack you unless provoked.
impulse 9 - All Weapons.
impulse 11 - Display runes (you don't actually get them)
impulse 13 - Silver key.
impulse 14 - Gold key.
impulse 255 Quad Damage.
map ExMy - Warp to episode X, mission Y
skill # - Sets difficulty level (# = 0-3)
sv_gravity -# - Reduces gravity by #%.

Granted the game is 14 years old its still pretty sweet that its in a flash version that runs smoothly as far as i can tell. Great for people who've never seen the game but if you've played it before I'd just download the actual game for the best experience.

People keep asking me for flash versions of other games. You don't understand, this is the freeware version of Quake, so I am allowed to port it and upload it to Kongregate. Other games, however, may not have a freeware version or be freeware, and I am not allowed to do anything with those games. That would be illegal.
