What Kind of Instrument do you play?

I was just wondering the diffrent kinds of instruments people play here on Kongregate? Technically everyone can play an instrument, but I’m talking about ones you can at least play one song on.

For me I can play the harmonica,guitar, and I’m learning the Piano.

I used to be able to play trumpet and acoustic guitar but I droped them in favor of electric guitar, drums, and the kazoo.

So Basically you can still play the acoustic guitar because its the same thing as an electric, with more tone and less distortion,flange,delay,chorus, etc.

Acoustic takes a different technique. You can’t really shred on an acoustic.

I play the air guitar.

I’ve seen people “shred” on acoustics. If by shredding you mean sweep picking,tapping, and pinch harmonics.

I am sure you have seen people shred that way. The question is have you heard it? from my experience tapping is often too quiet on an acoustic to be heard. Also you excluded muting from your description of shreding which is also inaudible.

Euphonium

Drums, percussion, things you can hit with a stick.

Used to play the sax. Traded the sax for an effects processor. Wife bought me a used sax. It was the same one I sold. Believe it or not.

Rock Band has made me own more ‘game instruments’ than real instruments. So sad.

I do the Keyboard, but haven’t played in years…

Actually, yes I have heard everything you can do on an electric guitar on an acoustic. Both while plugged into an amp if you have an acoustic that can be, and not on an amp. I guess it depends on how strong your fingers are in order for you to hear it. The tapping I heard was actuallly pretty good.

The only thing I can play are my vocal cords. :)

And yeah, it’s serious. Used to sing in a band, a long time ago.

I play video game instruments O_o. I can also sing in tune. Rock Band tells me so. Got a flawless performance just this morning :P

Used to do Piano, but started Xylophone in school just recently.

Keyboards(rock/jazz), piano (jazz/classical), flute, bassoon, sing (fairly well), bass guitar, didgeridoo, various percussion, as well as composeing and studio based mucking around.

I’ve also realised that maybe I’m in the wrong profession, maybe I should have been a musician?
