Let’s debate about the best genre ever.

N’ leave out the crap about “genre A lead to genre B, therefore, genre A is better than genre B”

Personally, I think alternative rock as a whole, as it is melodic, can be deep and have driving melodies, or even a metal feel to it. It’s the most versatile genre evar =]

i’d go with psychedelic rock, for the same reasons that you said alternative, and because I also really like really good instrumentals. The only problem with alternative is that there are hardly any good alternative bands yet.

rock because if you add a word to the front you get another genre thus making it the most versatile.

wyatt, was that not that exact thing that he told you not to say in the first place? also alternative would be my favorite i’d have to say, either that or ska… you can’t really use “rock and roll” as your favorite… that is so general of a term that it means almost nothing

Rock. I HATE rap. lil wayne is the worst rapper hes so annoying. In that stupid lollipop song he says “lick” at least 200 times his voice is the most annoying sound in the world.I hate rap because all it’s about is chillin with the “boys” in the “hood” or a club.

Jazz. It’s diverse, but always complex, melodic, and enjoyable. It’s only once in a blue moon that I hear a modern artist or group capable of composing and playing with the same soul, feeling, and prowess as the old jazz greats.
