Along with Flipline Sudios, Hero Interactive is changing the Flash industry landscape by building an entire business around the production of free, high-quality, professional web games, supported largely by sponsorship revenue. Hero Interactive's games are wildly popular, and featured on Digg perhaps more often than any other developer's. Sometimes I like to just refresh Digg every few minutes to see the company's newest games trickle in, with a high-quality game produced roughly once every 2 minutes.
It all began with Bubble Tanks, the success of which has driven the development of the upcoming Bubble Tanks 2, which, unlike Hero Interactive's other games, has been in production for approximately 47 years.
The incredible production values of Stormwinds 1.5 really demonstrates Hero Interactive's capabilities as a game creator, while the mixed reception of LightSprites on Kongregate demonstrated how unbelievably soulless some of our users are.
